Reliability Monitor in Windows Vista
If you're running Windows Vista, have you ever taken a look at Reliability Monitor? What is it? A snapshot of how reliable your system is including:
- A System Stability Chart which shows you a stability rating between 10 and 0 (the higher the number the better).
- The chart also shows if any of the following occurred on a particular day:
- Software (Un)Install
- Application Failures
- Hardware Failures
- Windows Failures
- Miscellaneous Failures - There is also a system stability report for each day which gives a breakdown of each of the above categories for each day.
This is a pretty cool graph. You can glance down the right-hand side and see the failure categories, then trace them left to the day and see what happened to the system.
As you can see from my screen shot below, RSS Bandit caused a few fits on my computer yesterday. I've since uninstalled it, and am hoping my stability index climbs back closer to 10. I was on an uphill climb until 3.14. I also installed SP1 on 3.22 so it should be interesting to keep track.
Start | Run | Perfmon, select Reliability Monitor.
