Cingular releases Communication Manager for Windows Vista
Communication Manager is now ready for laptops running Windows Vista®.
Communication Manager allows LaptopConnect customers with Microsoft Windows®-based laptops and an eligible data plan* to control how and when they connect to wireless networks.
Communication Manager offers a range of features, such as:
- Simple installation and intuitive user interface
- Access to our EDGE and BroadbandConnect networks and roaming partners, where applicable.
- Access to Wi-Fi networks, including support for over 4,600 AT&T Wi-Fi locations**, using your Wi-Fi card or Wi-Fi–enabled laptop
- VPN-aware software that can help quickly establish connections for many of the leading VPNs (Virtual Private Networks)
- An update engine that automatically checks for new software versions and AT&T Wi-Fi locations
- Data acceleration software that makes web browsing even faster using compression technology and efficient transmission techniques***
