Microsoft sues test prep site
Microsoft has filed a lawsuit against a UK-based IT certification testing site and is alleging that the site illegally copied the developer's certification exams.
The suit, which was filed last week in a Seattle federal court, takes aim at Testking.com, a site that sells training and test prep materials for a variety of IT certification exams, including ones sponsored by Apple, Cisco, SAS, Microsoft, and others.
In the papers filed Aug. 8, Microsoft alleges that "the Microsoft Certification Exam materials defendants sell through Testking.com contain exam questions and answers that are either identical or substantially similar to Microsoft's copyrighted exam questions and answers. Microsoft has not licensed or authorised defendants to copy or distribute its copyrighted exam content."
