Sprint Nextel Launching Motorola Q
After announcing its disappointing second quarter financial results, Sprint Nextel now said that it will start shipping the Motorola Q in the fourth quarter of this year, in order to attract (and keep) more subscribers and to increase earnings.
Motorola has managed to generate a large amount of hype for its so-called Blackberry killer, by delaying it several times. The Motorola Q was first announced back in July 2005 and features a large, 2.4" color screen, voice activated dialing, a 1.3 megapixel camera with photo lighting, mp3 and video capabilities, stereo speakers web surfing capability and a QWERTY keyboard. All this on will run on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.
