First day experience P.S.
A couple of final thoughts on the day. There was so much free food and drink scattered throughout the conference center with sponsored snack tables, it makes me wonder what happened at MMS. Quite a refreshing change from having to spend my own money. I’ve never seen so much food: ice cream, peanuts, pretzels, potato chips, every drink imaginable (except alcoholic).
OK, part II. The opening session for the Exhibit session was quite different. It was a carnival-like atmosphere, with Microsoft folks screaming into Microphones about products like the Tablet PC. Food and drink was the same (and all free), but it appeared that there was much more intensity. Maybe it was just me.
Part III. HP is here and I got a chance to see the Mobile Messenger. As expected, I was disappointed. I don’t like the square screen (resolution is not impressive), and I don’t like the keyboard. Quite honestly, the conference participants were zeroed in on the 6300 series, not the new Mobile Messenger. What does that tell you?
Enough for today. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Thursday can’t come soon enough. Can’t wait for the Blue Men Group!
