This guy will just not go away...
Atheist activist Michael Newdow, known for his attempt to remove "under God" from the Pledge, has petitioned a federal court to prevent the Bush administration from "engaging in Christian religious acts" related to the president's upcoming inauguration. Pointing out that two ministers, Rev. Franklin Graham and the Rev.Kirbyjon Caldwell, prayed at Bush's first inaugural ceremony in 2001, Newdow says the Inaugural '05 website indicates the president will chose a minister to "deliver an invocation" before he takes the oath of office Jan. 20.
If you recall, Newdow lost the previous case because he didn't have custody of the child involved, and his wife was against the lawsuit. He's back in that regard as well apparently representing eight children and their parents. What is it really? That's what I want to know. It has to be more than his atheism. It just has to be. That's what I want to know. What is it about Christians that he has a problem with?
The reason I ask is that I don't see him bringing lawsuits agains other religions. I can also bet the farm that the ACLU would be all over him should he target other groups. I mean, atheists don't believe in God right, not just the Christian God, but ANY God? What about the Muslims? Jews? Don't they have a God too?
