I tried this but can't get it to work for some reason. I copied the code directly into the sms_def.mof, which then uploaded fine into SMS with no errors.

On updating a machine policy and then running a hardware inventory however, nothing new is pulled down.

in the inventory log I am getting

Collection: Namespace = \\.\root\cimv2; Query = SELECT __CLASS, __PATH, __RELPATH, LogFile, Message, RecordNumber, TimeGenerated FROM NTLogEvent; Timeout = 600 secs.

Collection: Class "NTLogEvent" does not exist out.

which I am unsure whether is related to this or not but if so then it appears to be trying NTLogEvent rather than Win32_NTLogEvent.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Actually, too many people people on our team. And even if they aren't crazy night owls like me and like Jeff, *everyone* on our team was working darn hard at various odd times, morning, noon, and night, to get the content ready for RTM. I wrote the master doc plan, but it was truly a team effort and involved lots of consensus.

I volunteered to write the relnotes because they fill an important role in the publishing process. And I *do* read them, mostly because years ago, before I came to work here, I heard Wally Mead say we should read them. If Wally said to do something with SMS, you bet I did it, so I read the relnotes and learned all sorts of things.

We made them a lot smaller this time, so you just have the most important stuff. But you should read them. Wally will say so, too. :-)
