The Manageability TechCenter (http://technet.microsoft.com/manageability/default.aspx) was launched on Friday, August 17, 2007. It provides step-by-step guidance to help you more effectively manage the servers, desktop, and mobile computers in your organization.
The TechCenter contains sections on Getting Started with manageability, Configuration Management, Service Monitoring and Control, Storage Management, Consolidation and Virtualization, Troubleshooting and Help Desk. Each section contains Key Tasks and the Tools and Technologies/Products and Solutions that can be leveraged to successfully complete those tasks.
If you're new to enterprise systems management this is a great resource to get started. It's also a great place to go if you are already working in this arena and just want to learn more about the management technologies out there. This TechCenter has information about a ton of management technologies like Group policy, SMS 2003, ITMU, WSUS, SoftGrid, as well as new Microsoft System Center technologies, including System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Operations Manager 2007, System Center Essentials, System Center Data Protection Manager, System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2007...and on and on.
Bottom line, if you're like me, and I know I am, and you're interested in manageability technologies, I think you're going to love this new TechCenter!
