The Intel® Active Management Technology Management Pack for Essentials provides support for Intel AMT Technology version 2.0 and later. The Intel AMT MP gives Essentials 2007 the capability to discover and remotely manage Intel AMT supported systems.

This MP extends the Essentials menus to include Intel AMT functionality. TDuring the discovery process, the MP retrieves asset information from the AMT subsystem. Discovery needs to be performed before you can perform any other Intel® AMT-related tasks. You can view information about the Intel AMT system’s hardware assets such as CPU and memory.

The AMT systems can be configured to send PET (Platform Event Trap) events to multiple event collectors, and view these events in Essentials. The MP can communicate with Intel AMT systems using either digest or Kerberos authentication. It can also support secure communication protocols (TLS) in both server-side and mutual authentication.

The Management Pack can be integrated with the Intel Setup and Configuration Service to ease handling of security issues.
In Integrated mode, you use Intel SCS to obtain the information necessary for communicating with multiple Intel AMT machines, each of which may have different profiles (for example, user names, passwords and TLS information).
