Use Monitoring Views to Simplify your reporting in Essentials 2007
Looking to produce an Essentials 2007 report of ONLY one attribute of systems the 'All Clients' group? For instance, you want to find out the OS versions currently deployed in your environment or how much physical memory is currently installed on each system. Default behavior is to provide a complete hardware inventory.
There is no default report in the Reporting space that provides only one attribute. However, you can create a view for a specific attribute in the Monitoring space that will provide a more limited view of the available data. To do this: create a new State view, chose the criteria to show data related to the windows operating system. Show data contained in a specific group of All Clients. Select the Display tab and chose "Name", "Path" and an attribute you wish to view such as "Physical Memory". Give the view a name and save.
Enjoy!
