SYMPTOMS:
System Center Essentials 2007 relies on both Microsoft Windows Software Update Services (WSUS) and functionality from System Center Configuration Manager 2007 to deploy software updates.
Use Microsoft System Center Updates Publisher (SCUP) 3.0 to import software update catalogs. On the command line of the imported catalog is a /qn switch for Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI) updates or for Windows Installer patch (MSP) updates.

RESULTS:
The software updates cannot be deployed successfully. Additionally, WSUS may report that the command line is invalid.

EXPECT:
Successful deployment with no errors.
