New KB Post for Essentials 2007 with SharePoint in Integrated Mode
When you configure Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services to run in SharePoint integrated mode, the Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 (Essentials) reporting feature does not work correctly. You experience the following issues:
• Although the Essentials reporting feature passes the prerequisite check, and the features are installed, reports are not deployed to SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services. Additionally, the reporting node of the administration console returns an error message.
• The following Opsmgr event is logged when SharePoint integration is enabled:
Event ID: 31569
Event Source: Health Service Modules
Event Category: Data Warehouse
Description:
Report deployment process failed to request management pack list from SQL_RS Server. The operation will be retired. Exception 'SoapException'. System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException. The option is not supported on a report server that is configured to run in SharePoint integrated mode.
• When you try to view reports from the administration console, you receive the following error message:
Loading reporting hierarchy failed.
Exception 'SoapException'. System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException. The option is not supported on a report server that is configured to run in SharePoint integrated mode.
This issue occurs because the Essentials reporting feature is not supported in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services when it is configured for SharePoint integration.
