Dell Deplolyment Pack for ConfigMgr 2007 Released today!

Grab the Docs and the Download on DellTechCenter.  Stay tuned for some video demos coming your way in the near future!

What is the Dell Deployment Pack? The Dell Deployment Pack (DDP) is an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI)-based tool that integrates directly into the Microsoft® System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 (ConfigMgr) console. It eliminates the need for command-line tools and scripts normally used in the Dell™ OpenMange™ Deployment Toolkit (DTK) software. To configure and deploy your Dell systems, you need to select configuration options and commands on the GUI using drop-down lists and check boxes (see "Using The Dell Deployment Pack"). These selections make your system deployment an easy, automated task.

Can’t wait to get this going.  I’m having an issue downloading the Dell published updates from WSUS to the DP in SCCM.  I get a Cert error every time.  I was hoping you could give me some advice or point me to the right person.

Environment:  (Site systems)

\\SRVSMS01: management point, site database server, server locator, reporting, device management, SCUP

\\SRVWSUS01: software update point, fallback status, out of band service

\\VSRVSCCMDP: PXE service point, State Migration

Setup:

Installed and configured SCUP on SCCM server.  Downloaded and Imported the Dell catalogs.  Configured SCUP to generate a Cert and then imported that Cert to the “Trusted Publishers” and “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” to all 3 site systems and test client.  Published metadata and content to WSUS server.  Synchronized Update Repository in SCCM and verified that all published updates show up under Software Updates>Update Repository>Updates.

Issue:

I try and distribute Open Manager Agent or any driver/firmware but they will not download to the Distribution point. For example:  I right click on Dell OpenManage Inventory Agent, choose Deploy Software Updates, enter unique name, use test deployment template(contains 1 client with imported Cert), create test deployment package, Choose DP, Download software updates from Internet (As stated in the Dell Catalog for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.pdf), English, Leave schedule as default and ERROR:
