Inside the Configuration Manager Remote Control Registry Hive

 

On your Configuration Manager Site server the remote control information is stored in the registry. Below you will find the available keys.

 

The information is stored in the “Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Client” hive under “Client Components\Remote Control” and includes the following:

 

Access Level = dword value

Allow Client Change = dword value

Allow Takeover = dword value

Audible Signal = dword value

CommandLine = dword value

CompressionType = dword value

Control Level = dword value

Enabled = dword value

IndicatorType = dword value

Permission Required = dword value

PermittedViewers = hex value

System Tray Visible Signal = dword value

Use IDIS = dword value

Visible Signal = dword value

 

User information is stored under “User Settings” and includes the following:

 

Access Level = dword value

Allow Takeover = dword value

Audible Signal = dword value

Control Level = dword value

IndicatorType = dword value

Permission Required = dword value

Use Local Settings = dword value

Visible Signal = dword value
