Errol Flynn was quite the ladies man according to the newspapers and tabloids of his day. During World War II servicemen fist coined “In like Flynn” when they were bragging about their own conquests or to it was used to describe someone with those gifts that they envied.
Today we use the term to do the same as they did back in the 1940’s.
Actually, most people I know say "In Like Flint" in reference to the cheesy agent Flint movies starring James Coburn. www.imdb.com/.../tt0061810
In Like Flynn is not In Like Flint. Errol Flynn predates Flint.

I'm not saying you are incorrect. Just that generations have different spins on things. Most people in the 30-40 range barely know Flint (Coburn), but hardly know Errol Flynn. It's like telling my kids they sound like a broken record. They always look at me weird and say "what's that?" I suppose I should say "scratched CD" instead. :)
I can certainly see your point as my wife thinks the same way. However please understand that the "Origins" I am trying to present are "Origins" i.e. the Originals. Thanks you for trying to keep me honest.
