Description:
The sender cannot connect to remote site "XXX" over the LAN. The operating system reported error 5: Access is denied.
This means that the Local Area Network (LAN) sender cannot successfully access the SMS_XXX share on the destination or parent site server. The Sender.Log file also writes this information so you should review that log for any additional information.
Typically to resolve this issue make sure that the SMS Service Account is included in the Local server’s administrators group.
