On Wednesday morning the 10th of October 2007 at about 7:30 AM our Tennessee Walking Horse Mare Lacy had a Colt (Boy Horse) which brings the Hite-Zoo horse population to six. Two Tennessee Walker geldings, 1 “new” Tennessee Walker colt and 1 Tennessee Walker Mare in addition to our miniature Arabian horse and American Shetland pony.
The new arrivals name is as of yet undetermined as it is traditional for my wife and I not to name new Hite-Zoo critters for a week. As of now it will be either Trent because it was born on my friend Rod Trent’s birthday or Lucky because it was born on an old horseshoe that one of the horses threw in the pasture sometime this summer. Of course Trent or Lucky will be simply what we call him around the farm or just a part of his official registered name since Lacy is a registered Tennessee Walker as is the sire.

It’s a (Boy) Colt
Well it has been a week as of today and we have decided to name the colt: Lacy's Lucky Trent.
Ginny has also decided that she wants to keep the colt and not sell him after he is weaned. As a result of her decision were are not going to have Lacy bred back this year and are giving her a year off. Lacy just turned 6 years old this month and this is her 4th foal and she needs the time to raise and protect him in our herd. Due to the fact that we do not want to have any more Stallions on the farm he will be a gelding when the time comes.
