This past week I was notified by Microsoft that I was awarded the Microsoft Most Valued Professional (MVP) award for SMS and was quite surprised by the news. The notification was quite unexpected and it was an honor just to be considered for the award even though I didn’t even know I was getting any nominations or votes.
The official MVP announcements from Microsoft will not take place until the first week of July this year and I hope to see many of my new and old friends honored with this award for SMS, SQL and MOM just to name a few that are far more deserving than myself. I must say that I consider it a privilege that the community thinks I am even able to stand in the shadows of other great SMS MVP’s such as Cliff Hobbs, Kim Oppalfens, Ron Crumbaker, Michael Mott, Garth Jones and of course my mentor and long time friend Rod Trent who made this all possible by providing me with the means to share with the user community.
Thanks again to all of those readers who nominated or voted for me and I will cherish this award as I do as a myITforum Community Council (MMC) member and I will continue to do my best to help and assist the best way I know how.
That's awesome, congratulations, Don!
Congratulations Don...
