Blogging on MOM 2005 and SCOM 2007
The Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania will be adding MOM 2005 and SCOM 2007 to the list of things that that will be presented at the SMUG meetings. So I decided to start blogging on the topics. I've run a MOM 2005 site before so it isn't anything new for me, but it has been almost a year since I ran it so it will take a bit to get back into the game. I went to a Microsoft MOM 2005 class, so i do have some training but the class was limited so there is always more to learn.
I'm setting up a SCOM 2007 in the lab as we speak so I will let you guys know what I find.
Presently MOM 2005 is the Supported version of MOM. Commonwealth agencies can use SCOM 2007 is a test environment. If they want to use it in production they must apply for a waiver.
I'm going to use it in my Test lab so i can get use to it if someone call me for support. So i don't need a waiver at this time
