You want me to do What?

March 2007 - Posts

I had a tech with this wierd problem. Unfortunatly due to me being out sick i wasnt of much help But Julie was able to solve it on her own and here is what she came up with:

***************************************

I found that this corrupted view was only on my machine.  If I viewed this info via the web reports viewer, or on the sms server status viewer, the time was correct.

My machine did have the DST patch applied, so it would not permit reinstall.

I found that the viewer gives you timezone "viewing" options.  Mine was set to GMT-5:00 Eastern Time.  So I changed it to another timezone and applied.  Refreshed my viewer -- it reported in that timezone.  Reselected GMT-5:00 Eastern, applied and that corrected it.  YIPPEE -- that was bugging me.

Sorry if I've been absent minded the last week or so. I came down with a case of Shingles on my face. Let me just say next to the kidney Stones i had last year this has to be the second worst natural caused pain a man can receive.

Customer Feedback on Product Quality

"All in all this service pack looks great considering it hasn't broken anything and it hasn't noticeably changed the way anything works. I think this is a text book definition of a service pack"

Service Pack 2 has been through rigorous customer deployment. Over the development cycle we have released 8 different builds to customers. With every build beginning with Beta release the overall feedback has been super positive.

Folks – Windows 2003 SP2 was just released yesterday and it is now posted on our Windows Update site as a High Priority update.  What this means to you is that if you have any of your Windows 2003 systems set to automatically download and install updates, they will get the SP2 release.

I just finished building a new server and when i went to the windows update site to get it patch i was shocked to see that i only had SP2 as my choices for installation. All of the Pre sp2 patches where gone.

So it looks like we arent being given a window of upgrade like usual.
