[FAQ][ConfigMgr 2007] "Status of Targeted Resources" shows as "Program failed (unexpected restart)"


Question:

I've sent a Package to upgrade my SMS 2003 Clients to ConfigMgr 2007 but when I run the "Status of an advanced client distribution report" I'm seeing some machines reporting as "Failed" under the "Status of Targeted Resources".

Drilling down I see a large number of machines reporting "Program failed (unexpected restart)". How do I resolve this?
