Trying to give something back to the Community...
Last week I attended the MVP Summit at Microsoft HQ in Seattle. It was great to meet some fellow MVPs and members of the ConfigMgr Product Group that I’d only spoken to virtually before as well as meeting up with old friends.
We were SO privileged to be able to spend literally the whole week at the Microsoft Enterprise Engineering Center, a mind blowing place stuffed full of kit which customers and partners alike can use to help conduct Proof of Concepts using Microsoft products – here’s me in the EEC although trust me there wasn’t much sitting around posing for pictures.
During the week Wally had arranged for us to literally been bombarded with back-to-back sessions on ConfigMgr v.Next with the various member of the Product Group who were very keen to get our opinions and feedback on the product which includes the feedback from YOU – the very Community we serve (that’s why it’s vital if you have feedback you contact a MVP and we can raise it/ feed it back on your behalf).
I’m sure some of you would loved to have been a fly on the wall and known what was said. Unfortunately the whole Summit is under NDA so I can’t discuss any of it. All I can say is that from what I’ve seen v.Next is going to be one hell of a product.
Needless to say the MVPs are going to be working hard with Microsoft over the coming months to try and make v.Next the best version of ConfigMgr to date, so stay tuned and as soon as we can update you on anything publicly we’ll pass it along.
In case you’re wondering what the Product Group and MVPs look like here’s a group shot of all of us at the Summit.
In signing off I’d just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Microsoft for organising the MVP Summit and for giving us a fantastic opportunity that I’m sure all MVPs (not just us ConfigMgr folks), really appreciate.
