The Microsoft Application Platform: an overview This session will provide a perspective on the current state of the Integration and Application Platform market including current and future trends in this domain and an introduction of the Microsoft vision and strategy for an Application Platform.
Morris Novello Morris Novello is Product Manager for SQL and BizTalk Server at Microsoft Ltd. His interests focus on Applications and Systems Integration, Event Driven Architecture and Business Intelligence. Prior to joining Microsoft, Morris spent a few years at Samsung Semiconductors as Flash Memory Product Manager. Prior to this, he was with Intel Corporation for four years, most recently as Product Marketing Engineer for Core 2 Duo processors. Morris attended the University of Padua in Italy earning a BSc. and MSc. in Electrical Engineering and he was a visiting scholar at M.I.T. Sloan School of Management during his MBA degree.
Pragmatic Business Value of using Service Orientated Architecture and implementing an Enterprise Service Bus See how using SOA can ease development cycles inside your business and how using the BizTalk Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Toolkit enables you to build services that can be quickly located and connected, without creating a brittle point-to-point link. We will discuss how to improve the service lifecycle of development, testing, and deployment by using the messaging, routing, and transformation capabilities of the BizTalk ESB Toolkit. Robert Hogg Robert Hogg is the Managing Director of Black Marble Ltd, a Microsoft Gold Partner based in the North of England, specialising in Microsoft BizTalk and SharePoint based business automation and collaboration solutions, as well as Application Lifecycle Management. Robert is in his third year as an MVP for the Connected Systems Division, and is also a Fellow of the British Computer Society and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Hull. He has spoken regularly throughout the UK, as well as internationally at TechEd, and has published an eBrief on SOA and the Enterprise Service Bus for Wrox press.
Changing the way we do Business Intelligence (BI) using SQL Server 2008 R2 BI is the key to understanding the why and wherefore of improving business processes. The challenge is how to make BI agile enough to cope with the rapid change in a modern business and this is where the new self service BI capabilities of SQL Server 2008 R2 make this possible. In this session we will show how this works for the users and the infrastructure that makes this possible.
Andrew Fryer Andrew Fryer is a Technical Evangelist at Microsoft UK, specialising in data management with 10 years’ experience of implementing BI for a variety of companies such across retail and utilities.
Achieving business differentiation using BPM technology We will be demonstrating how BPM and SOA technologies enables transformation to a new process driven organisation across supply chain, customers and beyond the enterprise.
Adi Hofstein Co-founder and VP Business Development for PNMsoft, Microsoft Finalist global partner of year 2009, with 15 years of experience in Business Process Management built on the Microsoft platform.
