[ConfigMgr 2007] "Could not connect to Virtual Server. Access Denied."

So I wanted to run up the ConfigMgr R2 Eval VHD. After downloading it and Virtual Server I then ran Setup to install Virtual Server. So far so good. But when I ran up Virtual Server I got:

"Could not connect to Virtual Server. Access Denied."

After some Googling I came across the following article from Ben aka Virtual PC Guy which did the trick:

http://blogs.msdn.com/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2006/10/09/Problems-with-Virtual-Server-on-workgroup-based-Windows-XP.aspx

Cheers Ben.

NOTE: His article talks about XP SP2, on Vista the option is called “User Sharing Wizard (Recommended)” as shown below.
