Trying to give something back to the Community...
The UK User Group community is proud to bring you the third of its free to attend community days and this time we are bigger and more in depth than ever.
This Two day event will include group sessions for all as well as breakout sessions on specific technologies across 5 rooms so you are guaranteed to find something you want to participate and listen to. Many of the speakers are recognised Community experts as well as MVP awardees in their respective technology plus we hope to have a fair representation of Microsoft staff as well.
Evening event - Not content with running two full days of great IT Pro focuses sessions we are also running an evening event for both days. The idea behind this event is that is a chance to chill out with your peers and the speakers and Microsoft personnel from the day. Find out more

The Documentation Team have just released the Software Updates Synchronisation Superflow:
“The Software Updates Synchronization SuperFlow is a dynamic, interactive dataflow model that provides all of the information needed to understand the software updates synchronization process in Configuration Manager 2007. The SuperFlow also provides an animation for the process and resource files and links that provide information related to the process.”

I was excited to learn the other day that the Planning, Deploying and Managing Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager 2007 course is now available in the UK (starting in May by looks).
I contacted my local training provider in Milton Keynes but was a little dismayed to learn that they currently don't have plans to run this course in Milton Keynes, only at their London centre.
However, they are willing to run the course provided between us we can fill it. So if you're interested in attending this course in Milton Keynes (and saving the hassle of going to London), then please get in touch and we'll try to organise something.
One of the weird things I've found is that there doesn't seem to be a list of ConfigMgr-related User Groups anywhere. Well that was until I created the User Groups page which contains a list broken down by geographic region of all of the ConfigMgr User Groups.
So check it out and if you're a member of a group or know of a group not listed on there please let me know and I'll add it in for free for everyone's benefit.
I've just finished adding a plethora of whole new links to both the Site Map and Useful Resources pages which should hopefully make your life easier in tracking down ConfigMgr-related information (and there's more to come).
I've now added links to both the Site Map and Useful Resources pages for both the TechNet Virtual Labs and Webcasts.
Rather than re-posting the information from the MS website on FAQShop I've created dynamic links that will display you all of the relevant up-to-date information just for ConfigMgr.

The SMS MVPs have just been treated to a personal demonstration of the first SuperFlow by Steve Kaczmarek of the Documentation Team and I've got to say I am VERY excited by this.
We all know that troubleshooting ConfigMgr can at the best times be a bit of a black art with different threads doing different things at different times, with different dependencies but hopefully the SuperFlows will go a LONG way to making troubleshooting the product a LOT easier.
PLEASE PLEASE, try it and give feedback either to myself (only to happy to pass it on as always), or if you prefer directly to the Doc Team as without this improvements cannot be made and there's no cast iron guarantee that all of the plans for future SuperFlows will come to fruition.
To help you understand what a SuperFlow is see the SuperFlows article on FAQShop which includes a link to the download.
I have added the SuperFlows item to the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Site Map but as the Software Updates Synchronization SuperFlow is the only one currently available I've linked directly to it. I'm sure over time as others are released (2 more maybe in time for MMS), they'll be grouped onto a SuperFlow page which I'll adjust the link to point to once it's available.
This FREE developer event brings DDD to Galway!
If you were unable to go to Microsoft TechEd or conferences such as DevWeek, DDD is for you - the speaker line up for DDD has many TechEd and DevWeek regulars as well as up and coming new speakers from the British Isles developer community!
Speakers from BASTA! and JustCommunity's NRW conferences are also joining us for DDD Ireland!
There will be NO Microsoft speakers presenting, just speakers from the .NET developer community; although we will have many of the Ireland (and UK too, hopefully!) Developer Platform Evangelists (DPEs) on hand to help out and chat to attendees.
The day is put together by the community for the community, in other words you. We thank our sponsors who have helped make the event possible: Microsoft have graciously sponsored the venue (including catering), they have covered the costs of many speakers, offered their travel logistics service to us and have hosted the event registration facilities!
