Windows Server 2008 News

Thought I'd pass this on:

"In an effort to keep you up-to-date on news related to the Windows platform, I wanted to let you know that Microsoft has reached another milestone with the Release Candidate (RC0), of the Windows Server 2008 operating system, which is now available for download. With this release, Microsoft’s industry partners and customers can download and experience not only the most versatile and reliable Windows platform yet, but also a Community Technology Preview (CTP) of Windows Server virtualization. For more information, please see our PressPass feature http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2007/sep07/09-24windowserverrc0.mspx .

Microsoft has also announced the release of Windows Vista SP1 Beta 1 to a select group of approximately 12K testers.  This release focuses on addressing specific reliability and performance issues, supporting new types of hardware, and adding support for several emerging standards.  SP1 also addresses some management, deployment, and support challenges.  In addition to Windows Vista SP1, we are also announcing that last week Windows XP SP3 beta was released to select OEMs, ENT and ISV testers."
