  • Still cleaning up from any viruses

The nice thing about EPM (mobile automation) is that it can manage your updates and rollouts before they vpn into your network.  Just drop the box into your DMZ and you're good to go.

Let iPass Help Protect You From The Zotob Worm
Enterprises with unpatched Windows 2000 systems are fully aware by now of the risk they face from Zotob and other malicious code that capitalizes on the recently disclosed Microsoft "Plug and Play" vulnerability. Within days of the vulnerability being announced by Microsoft on August 9, this worm and a number of variants had already wreaked havoc on the operations of well-known corporations such as VISA, General Electric, and CNN, and more attacks are expected.

With the "exploit cycle" now dropping from weeks to days, it should be clear that patching systems quickly, and across the entire company, has become a business imperative. This is especially true for enterprises with large populations of occasionally connected remote and mobile systems that are difficult to update and rarely come back to the LAN. And most systems management solutions were designed with only the LAN in mind. So how does IT close this enforcement gap?

iPass has the answer, it's the Endpoint Policy Management™—Online service.

Plug Those "Plug and Play" Gaps — For Free
To help enterprises get through the Windows 2000 Plug and Play attacks, for a limited time iPass customers can take advantage of a FREE 30-day trial of the Endpoint Policy Management—Online service. • First day on the new Blog.

Yep first day on the new blog, I am located in the North East (CT) & I would have to say that the bulk of my post will have more to do with 'Mobile Management' as opposed to SMS in general; although SMS was and is my first true love.  I have recently taken a position with a company called iPass who now own the former Mobile Automation which I am sure that a number of you are more than familiar with.  They now call it Enterprise Policy Management or EPM for short; more on that later.  For now I will just be posting and getting the hang of this for a while.  I'll try and keep on topic at least for awhile unlike my other blog which I still can't figure out how to kill.
