I found an interesting article today on Smartmoney.com. It's a write-up on when to buy certain items. The thing that made it interesting to me is the fact that they provide an explanation as to why their "time to buy" is (what they believe to be) the actual right "time to buy".
Below are some snips from the article.
* Airplane Tickets
When to buy: On a Wednesday, 21 days (or a couple of days earlier) before your flight.
* Appliances
When to buy: During a holiday weekend.
* Broadway Tickets
When to buy: Hours before the curtain rises.
* Cars
When to buy: Weekday mornings in September.
* Gas
When to buy: Early morning or late evening on a weekday.
* Televisions
When to buy: Six to 12 months after a particular model is launched

Ok so the clip is on BREAK.COM which is most likely NSFW (that’s Not Safe For Work to those that don't know)
This woman is on one of those sling shot/bungee rides with her son.
This kid goes into panic mode (rightfully so by the looks of the video) and Mommy Dearest sits there and laughs - not looking at her son -not checking to see if he's ok - nothing.
Here's your prize for being Mother of the Year, lady - it's a big old dirty diaper.

Ok, so I laughed at this a little
Call him “crazy” – call him “nuts” – call him “enthusiastic”. Call him what you will, but Steve Irwin was entertaining and more tan a little bit of an educator.
Today, Steve Irwin died after being struck/impaled in the chest by the barb of a stingray off Australia’s northern coast.
Also the director of the Australian Zoo in Queensland – Steve was a husband and father of two children.
I don’t care that he was a little “nutty” – I liked the guy’s work and thought he was doing good stuff to educate kids.
Rest In Peace

I’ve never been one to care much about “royalty”. Most probably because I am an American and we long since abandon the idea of following a Monarchy.
However, recently I came across something on the web. An article about Prince Harry. It seems that he’s a little pissed off due to the fact that when his Household Calvary Regiment deploys to Iraq.
Now for those that care/live by/subscribe to the notion of “royalty” and the ideas that someone is better than you because of their name or line of blood – I can understand why they would want to keep him away from front line areas. He is what, the third in line for the throne of The United Kingdom of Great Britain.
But for the love of Mike – what club did they all think he (and his brother) was joining? It the same as all the reservists and Guardsmen here in the U.S that belly-ached during the upswing of Desert Storm “I joined for college money – I never thought I’d have to go to war.” Again I say – what club did you think you were joining?
Thinking of it realistically – of course they would never let him deploy to a forward area – he’s “royalty” but is that is the case (which I cam sure it is) why give him any sort of command at all? It does nothing but taint the very idea of leadership between a commander and his men. Here all these “blokes” are going to deploy and young Prince Harry (his choice or not) stays in the rear with the beer as they say.
I say – abandon the notion of people being better than you and treat this kid like every other soldier (officer or enlisted) – prepare him for overseas movement and deploy him with him men.
Kudos to Harry for wanting to serve with his men (Just don’t think we forgot about that whole Nazi uniform thing last Halloween, Harry)

By the way – this post is in no way a knock on the Brits or any other nation that live in a Monarchial society.
Another gem posted on YouTube. I’m baffled by the thought of the entire process this guy went through. How did he decide what to play – how long did it take him to figure out the proper placement of the bottles – the questions are plentiful.
Anyway, it’s more than a little impressive (to me anyway) – enjoy
