Don't kid yourself. Yes, it is funny

NSFWdue to language (lots of F bombs)

I am not sure what’s funnier – – this kid’s attempt at staying on the treadmill or

his reaction to his friends laughing.

I will however let him in on a little secret. Yes, it IS very funny.

Being a Dad is the GREATEST job EVER

I did something today that I have wanted to do ever since I knew I wanted children.

It started a week ago when I took my son’s training wheels off his bike. We did a little riding across the lawn last Sunday. We did this so my son would accept the fact that if he fell, he would be ok. Even though he had his helmet and his (at his insistence) elbow pads and knee pads.

After about 25 minutes of back and forth rides across the lawn while I held the back seat and ran along side of him (and secretly not holding on of course) my son got tired and a little nervous and wanted to stop.

Today during the car ride home from my daughter’s ballet class I said to him “Ok, pal. Today after lunch we are putting your bike and your helmet in the trunk and heading to your school. Before we leave your school, you will be a bike rider. I know you can do this. Do YOU know you can do this?”. . . a timid “yes” came from the back seat.

So, we had lunch, had another little pep talk and off to the school yard we went.

After a few trips across the school yard with me running alongside him (and a few falls that were of course considered to be the temporary END of the world), what you see below are the going away and returning videos of my son’s VERY FIRST unassisted bike ride!

The width of the parking lot he rode (out and back) is a total of about 220 yards.

The videos are grainy – they are from my camera - sorry. I was more concerned with teaching him to ride than bringing my digital video camera.

All I know is I taught one of my children how to ride a bike and I have wanted to do that for a VERY long time!!!!

Way to go, Santino!!!!!! I am SO proud of you!

Hannah said she wants to start trying next weekend. I’m not sure my heart can take it.

I LOVE being a Dad.

That's right - Kick

Ok – this kind of stuff just kills me.

At 31 seconds the lion jumps – then again at 45 second – then again at around 1:12.

A few things here:

1. This is a wild animal – here’s an idea — how about you don’t treat it like a toy

2. How about you don’t kick the lion in the face for ACTING LIKE A LION (I’da rather that lion ate that idiots foot)

3. You would think Roy Horn (and every other dope that has been attacked by an animal being used as a prop) would be a good enough example that this wasn’t the brightest of ideas.

Mr. Darwin is waiting in the wings for each of these idiots.

We’ve all said something similar to ourselves when using some little application.

You’ve used ApplicationX for so long and never upgraded. Then you finally upgrade and you would rather you never did.

Well, now there’s a place to start your search for that “older version”

Hi-Can I have one?

Italian designer Italian Edoardo Carlino, has created, what I think  is, the greatest bed ever dreamt of.

The H-Can (High Fidelity Canopy) comes equipped with blinds, ventilation and lighting, a built projection screen and a full multimedia compliment ( dvd player, WiFi integration, sound system etc)

As far as I know – this is not yet available to the public. I will be interested to see what the final price point is and if it will even be available in the states.

Here is a still shot of the bed

A Compilation of Quality OWNAGE

Just a few clips I’ve run into on the web over the past  few days. Some you may have seen before – all are new to me.

As these are “ownage” videos – some language may not be safe for work.

This compilation isn’t new – but it ALWAYS cracks me up. . . . I think this first guy may be my father in law.

As far as this one goes – how about someone educates this young lady BEFORE she handles the weapon in regards to the recoil and it’s force???

Free Spirit Spheres

I just saw this online and thought it was pretty cool.

Could you live in them long term – – no – – well, I couldn’t. But, I think they are a pretty cool alternative for the weekend outdoors-man, hunter, bird watcher.

By making adjustments ( increasing the size, improving the insulation etc) extended stay (or permanent) is far more plausible I think.  The sphere shape itself would prohibit it from being snowed in were it in an area that gets a big (seasonal or yearly) accumulation measurement.

Pretty cool

The WWF comes to the Bergan Highschool Wrestling Team. That’s right – I said WWF not WWE. (I’m old – leave me alone)

Way to think off your feet kid.

Apparently, this move has now been deemed unsafe by the NSSA.
