I want to probe SMS and other communities at large and see what kind of answers I get to a few questions. I would really appreciate as many comments as possible as this is important to me and I hope to the community. Last month I decided to build a web site so that anyone who wanted to create a blogcast could post theirs for free on my site and link it back to their blog post. Although there have only been 17 blogcasts created, there has been a tremendous hit rate on the site. Well, SMS is a small piece of the pie and I am interested if you feel that a web site that hosts all of Microsoft's core Operating Systems and application blogcasts would be a good idea.
The theory behind this is that we could post blogcasts on Windows Server, XP, SQL, Exchange, Office, SMS and anything else the community wanted. I'm thinking a “one stop” viewing of all core applications under one roof. I would want to get community leaders like you to be involved and help share your expertise with the community in the hope that we can provide real life examples of how to implement these technologies.
Just over a year ago, blogs were new and at that time I didn't get it. When the first “bloggers” came about I bet they had no idea that it would take off so quickly. Well, here I am today and I know that blogcasting is going to go right through the roof for all the technologies!
So, what do you think? I will take a yes / no answer, but I would like to hear your thoughts if you have the time. What if I told you that it already existed? Hmmm..... would you be excited? If you are interested in knowing more and want to be involved, post a link on your blog and send out some emails to other communities so we can get a well rounded response.
