Ce premier WhitePaper vous présente la démarche nécessaire et parfois complexe pour importer des données concernant vos licences Microsoft dans l’inventaire ConfigMgr et plus spécifiquement dans le catalogue Asset Intelligence. Vous trouverez ainsi toutes les étapes nécessaires à la récupération de vos informations de Licensing Microsoft, la génération du fichier XML nécessaire à l’import dans AI, l’import dans AI et la consultation de vos informations.

J’en profite également pour promouvoir un outil développé par Bruno Saille, IAV Microsoft sur la gamme System-Center, et permettant de générer, modifier et importer le fichier CSV d’inventaire de vos Licences non-Microsoft (produits tiers). Cf. Capture ci-dessous

I’m proud to release my first WhitePaper about System Center products and especially for ConfigMgr : “WhitePaper-ConfigMgr2007-How to import Microsoft Software Licenses Data in Asset Intelligence Catalog”.

This guide explains how to generate custom XML file containing Microsoft Software Licenses information from the MVLS portal so that it can be imported then in Asset Intelligence Catalog through the “Import Software Licenses” wizard of Configuration Manager 2007.

In addition, you will find few lines below some screenshots about a tool developped by Bruno Saille, Microsoft TSE on System Center Products, that allows you to generate, modify and then import Licensing Information about 3rd Party Software in Asset Intelligence Catalog.

1. Connection to the SCCM DB to gather existing Data

2. Edit the license data, from the existing 3rd Party license data or by adding new licences from the discovered inventory.
