What is a BLOG?
A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in chronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominently. - http://www.matisse.net/files/glossary.html#B
Why do people Blog? Herman Melville put it best when he said, "We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results." A perfect description of blogging, don't you think?
Some people blog to get recognition, some I feel just like to talk to themselves, and yet others have a true passion for spreading information. Blogs range from highly technical to very passionate ideas, all with a purpose of getting information quickly to the readers.

So, you might ask why do I Blog?
Well, like Herman Melville said, I blog on myITforum.com because of what myITforum has done for me throughout the years. As the logo for myITforum.com states it’s “Powered by you.”
Without the users of myITforum sharing their knowledge, then I would not be where I am today with my career. I love the freedom to write about not only technical items, but stuff that I am very passionate about. My blog is the easiest and fastest way to get information out to the public.
The Blogs I visit or subscribe to give me just about any information I want to read, from High level Microsoft information to jokes to religious thoughts and personal opinions. However, they each have their own draw.
I blog to network with people. Blogging gives substance to thoughts or ideas that might not otherwise get noticed. Blogs easily inform readers and allow bloggers to express themselves.
I view my blog as a place to force me to be more creative, experiment, voice my thoughts, and to have fun. I hope you subscribe, if not click here and paste that link into your favorite Blog reader.
